The decision follows an assessment of fees linked to a wide range of services and activities under the authority’s supervision. Each fee was evaluated against current regulatory requirements, evolving market conditions and the authority’s service delivery model. The review resulted in the removal of charges that were no longer considered necessary under the approved framework.

Supporting an Evolving Capital Market

The authority said the measure reflects its commitment to periodically reviewing regulations, procedures and fees to ensure the UAE’s capital market framework remains aligned with market developments and the needs of industry participants.

The initiative also aims to balance effective regulatory oversight with greater transparency and efficiency. By eliminating outdated charges, the authority seeks to reduce the administrative and financial burden on market participants while supporting a more competitive and business-friendly environment.

Waleed Saeed Al Awadhi, CEO of the Capital Market Authority, said the authority remains committed to continuously developing its fee framework in line with the evolution of the capital markets and the requirements of licensed companies and individuals.

He added that the review forms part of wider efforts to enhance regulatory service efficiency, reduce burdens on market participants and contribute to more resilient capital markets and higher-quality services.

Details Available Through Board Resolution

The abolished fees cover various services and activities under the authority’s regulatory supervision and form part of its broader review of the approved fee framework.

Licensed companies and individuals are encouraged to review the relevant Board Resolution published on the authority’s website for details on the services covered and guidance on implementation of the new fee structure.
