Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will now manage the licensing and regulation of all tourist transport operations under a new Executive Regulation.
The RTA will handle the issuance and renewal of permits for tourist transport establishments, register and renew tourist vehicles, and grant professional licences for drivers — ensuring compliance through approved service centres and digital channels.
This step aims to create an integrated tourist transport system that enhances service quality, safety, and comfort for visitors. According to the RTA and Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, the regulation will strengthen Dubai’s global tourism position, raise industry-wide standards, and deliver added value to businesses in the sector.
