UAE–Hungary Trade Grows 29.4% in H1 2025

Non-oil foreign trade between the UAE and Hungary surged by 29.4% in the first half of 2025, reaching $434.2 million, compared to $793.7 million in all of 2024.

During his official visit to Hungary, Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, met with Minister Péter Szijjártó and Budapest Mayor Gergely Karácsony. Talks focused on expanding trade, investment, and private sector collaboration across vital sectors including renewable energy, technology, construction, logistics, and tourism.

The visit built on the 2024 UAE–Hungary Economic Cooperation Agreement and a series of MoUs covering agriculture, space, real estate, and the UAE-Hungary Business Council. Both sides reaffirmed their shared vision for sustainable growth and innovation, positioning the partnership for stronger private sector engagement and long-term economic opportunities.
