Etihad Rail has expanded its passenger network to Dubai, introducing a new direct rail connection between Dubai and Abu Dhabi and marking another major milestone in the UAE’s transport infrastructure.
The service connects Al Yalayis Station in Dubai with Mohamed bin Zayed City Station in Abu Dhabi, offering passengers a journey of just over an hour. With fares starting from AED 39, the new route provides residents and professionals with an alternative to travelling between the two emirates by road.
Dubai’s Al Yalayis Station is also directly connected to Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station on the Dubai Metro Red Line, making onward travel across the city more accessible.
Beyond convenience for commuters, the expansion represents another step towards a more connected UAE—supporting easier movement between key economic centres and strengthening the infrastructure that enables business, talent and growth across the country.
As Etihad Rail continues to expand its passenger network, enhanced inter-emirate connectivity is set to play an increasingly important role in how people live, work and do business across the UAE.
