The UAE economy continued its strong upward momentum in 2025, with real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) expanding by 6.2% to reach AED 1.9 trillion. The latest figures highlight the country’s ongoing success in building a diversified and resilient economy that is less dependent on oil revenues.
A major contributor to this growth was the non-oil sector, which recorded a 6.8% increase and reached AED 1.5 trillion. This reflects the effectiveness of the UAE’s long-term economic diversification strategy, supported by investments in trade, finance, tourism, construction, manufacturing, technology, and real estate.
Among the strongest-performing sectors were construction, financial and insurance services, real estate, and manufacturing. Trade remained the largest contributor to non-oil GDP, demonstrating the UAE’s position as a leading regional and global business hub.
The latest economic results also align with the objectives of the UAE’s “We the UAE 2031” vision, which focuses on sustainable economic growth, innovation, competitiveness, and attracting global investment. Continued expansion in non-oil industries highlights the country’s ability to create new opportunities for businesses, investors, and entrepreneurs.
As the UAE strengthens its role as a global centre for commerce, finance, and innovation, the latest GDP figures reinforce confidence in the country’s long-term economic outlook and its commitment to sustainable development.
