The UAE has officially secured its position among the world’s top 10 exporters of goods, marking a significant milestone in its economic growth journey. This achievement reflects the country’s rapid progress, having advanced from 17th to 9th place globally within just five years.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, emphasized that investing in the UAE is synonymous with investing in growth, prosperity, and long-term opportunity. His remarks highlight the nation’s strong economic direction and rising global influence.
According to the latest report by the World Trade Organisation, the UAE’s total foreign trade reached AED 6 trillion (USD 1.6 trillion) last year, representing a 15% increase compared to the previous year. The country also recorded a trade surplus of AED 584 billion across goods and services, underlining the strength and balance of its international trade ecosystem.
Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, noted that this milestone reflects the UAE’s growing competitiveness and resilience in the global market. He further emphasized the country’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships and continuously expanding its global trade network.
