Contribution of SMEs to the UAE Economy

Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) has confirmed that the UAE has been characterized regionally and internationally by rapidly building the SME sector according to the best standards, building strategic partnerships with developed countries, and developing strong partnerships with the private sector.

Abdullah Ghurair Al Qubaisi said that according to statistical indicators, the contribution of the small and medium enterprises sector to the country’s GDP was about 53 percent in 2018, according to the report of the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority, expressing the aspiration to increase this percentage to about 60 percent by 2021, According to WAM.

The Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry added that the organization of the UAE Exhibition for SMEs comes in its first edition of 2019 in Al Ain City with the participation of more than 200 exhibitors of SMEs in key sectors in the country.
